1.
i watch you bathing / i know you feel my gaze / i want it daily / i've heard this feeling fades sweeping up the ash / getting high before i go to bed / a bungalow along some coastline / a getaway inside my head i'm alive in a dark light / i'll probably never pray again / but i hope you're alright / all my faded friends
2.
Lovely Day 05:12
when i wake up in the morning, love and the sunlight hurts my eyes / and something without warning, love, burns heavy on my mind / but then i look at you and the world is alright with me / just one look at you and i know it's gonna be a lovely day when the day that lies ahead of me seems impossible to face / and someone else instead of me always seems to know the way / but then i look at you and i know it's gonna be a lovely day
3.
parkhill's liquor & wine / mind over matter / i feel like taking my time / but then take you for granted / i could use your forgiveness / but i need your advice / but maybe that isn't wise / because i've been trying affectations on for size / or disguise parkhill's liquor & wine / i'm browsing the boxed wine wall when i missed your call thinking about money and time / and how little we've got of it / longing for a petit syrah, a pic poul, or an italian blend / but why? / because i've been trying affectations on for size / or disguise and if it's not me then who am i? you are my rock / you are the reason i come home every night and i've been trying affectations on for size / or disguise
4.
i'm driving home on cruise control / holding steady but thinking about letting go / slowly drifting to the shoulder on the right / weight is lifting / am i alright? i'm cutting out what makes me a man / we get further out but never understand / slowly drifting but trying to do right / no heavy lifting am i alright? we can talk it out / we can dig it all up / but i'm wondering how we all made it all up
5.
Satellites 04:05
i don't know where you came from and i don't know why you came / but it's a shame that i'm the only one / as if dying ain't enough / pulling me up by the heart strings / like a dove splitting clouds shadowing out the dark things soft snow in the sunlight / footprints like sand / a whirl wind and world spinning / but the time stands / taking a nap by the fireside / clothes strung up on the clothesline / lying quiet, listen close and you can hear / when these hearts align you and i are satellites spinning round / in a ballroom flight making eyes until the sun goes down / you and i are stars that don't go out you and i are stars
6.
On & On 04:09
look into the future / look into the past / everything is in it / but none of it lasts i know i have hurt you / because i know the feeling so well / the fire will burn you / and you'll ring as a bell
7.
orange thread / at the bottom of the pants i hemmed up for your wedding i felt the earth / i could certainly feel the wind / and our little sister floating in front of us i saw my mom / i saw my dad / and i saw their plus ones melting into the rhythm and i gave you away / as if that were something that anyone could do the other night i told my wife some things that had been weighing on my body / then i felt a little better and then i felt a little numb / sometimes it feels like you just can't get enough / and then sometimes it feels like you just can't give enough but i gave you away / as if that were something that anyone could do woven / a needle going in and out devotion / is clinging tight in faith and in doubt and i gave you away now what am i gonna do?
8.
i'll slow dance to a sad song if i'm the only one in a room / heart break in every direction / all i see is doom and gloom but i know we should talk about the things we know we can not change fearing the other / worried about what they might say about the things i say / honesty is never free / so how much do you want to pay? i know we should talk about the things we know we can not change i want to be alone / but i want to feel the way i feel when i'm around you i want to feel the way i feel when i'm around you i want to feel the way i feel the way i feel

about

This album is near and dear to me. It was recorded over 5 days in the pine trees of southeastern Texas with incredible buds Grant D'Aubin, Jared Himstedt, and Tommy Read.

I'm releasing it on Father's Day 2020. These songs are truly about striving to be a good dad and a great partner. These years we have walking on this great Earth are few but the view is breathtaking.

When you download this album, I will donate the money directly to support Navajo and Hopi people struggling to staying healthy in mind and body during this pandemic and more, struggling to stay autonomous as a nation against the constant threat of colonialism.

Thank you as always for supporting what I do.

This album is dedicated to my great grandpas, my grandpas, my dads, my kids, their kids...and mom.
